CAMPAIGN COMPETITION
Are you a school student between the ages of 13 and 18 years old?
Or are you a teacher who would love to have your students engaging in more peer education?
Are you passionate about ensuring those around you stay safe around the water?
Then this is the competition for you! The winning campaign will go into production this autumn, and form a major part of the Darcey Sunshine initiative in 2025!
Along with having your name on an impactful water safety campaign, preventing drowning globally, your school will also receive £1000 to help fund the provision of basic swim skills at your school!
THE AIM
Every year, 236,000 lives are lost to drowning around the world, and yet drowning is preventable.
We want YOU to create a campaign that highlights the 3 step water safety code, making sure EVERYONE knows how to stay safe around water, and to help prevent loss of life through drowning.

WHAT TO DO
Water Safety Scotland has created a whole bank of fantastic educational resources for schools to teach water safety.
Head there by clicking here, work through their senior phase lessons, and finish by creating a plan for your very own campaign highlighting the 3 step water safety code.
Film it on your phone, create a cool poster, or even send in a script/ plan/ animation.
We will then work with Water Safety Scotland to choose the most impactful campaign to deliver in 2025.

Once you have created the MOST AMAZING campaign EVER, one that is impactful, moving and inspiring! One that is sure to encourage people to be safe and aware around water, simply email your campaign to competition@darceysunshine.org

Campaign can be film, animation, poster or script format.

Videos must be no more that 90 seconds in length.

Make sure your name (or names if a group), school (or club) name and phone number, and city/town are included in the title of your campaign so we are able to contact you!
